Diana HIV Response

Diana is a young woman who has a little sister. Diana is 24 and her younger sister is 20 and they both were diagnosed with HIV and she had thought at the age of 17 that the reason she had HIV was that she had gotten roped by two guys. But it turned out that her mother had the virus fill blown and she did not find out until later that her mom had the virus and it was passed on to her and her younger sister and she felt that she should not change for anybody.
To make this documentary I think that all they had to do was talk in her own home about how things may have to say about her experience. Some ingredients were like using her mothers pictures and showing how much she looked like her. My favorite part was when she was telling how she had to be her self even though she was different and her sister said in quote " I don't know what its like to be normal." I f were to make this documentary I would most definitely do it the same.

"THE COLOR PURPLE"

In the book the Color Purple a young girl named Celie has been getting raped by her father because her mother was very sick and could not give pleasure to him. Celie was a very young girl who had lots of things that could have been done in her life but all was messed when She had two children by her father. On the first page Celie gets raped and as I could have infered she had none or not many friends. She had this thing where she was told by her mother that she should only talk to God and tell him all of problems. The her and her little sister Nettie seen a man in church one day and seen a man. A few years later Celie ended up marrying this man even if she had not wanted to she was forced to take his hand in marriage. He would beat on her for not being the pretty famous woman named Shug Avery. Shug comes along and saves Celie and Celie was taken away from her sister Nettie and years and more years came and at the end Nettie came back and they felt like little girls again.

I don't think that many people in the world should make text to self connections because it might just be to personal and painful to bare or remember.
I can relate this to the things that have happened in the world like sexism, racism and prejudice things where put into this book and to show how people were treated back then. For example in the Diary of Anne Frank this girl experienced sexism and also racism because she was a young Jewish girl. In Celie's case she was very young black dark skin girl who people did not find attractive and what made it worse was the fact that she got pregnant by her father who in later years she found out was not her biological father he was her step dad. Her real father died.

I think the funniest part of the book was on the end when Nettie came back to see Celie after years and years of not seeing each other Celie said in quote "When Nettie step foot in front of the porch i almost died" I think the saddest part of the story was Celie and Nettie were taken apart from each other I almost cried because it was lie that with me and my big sister when she had to go away.
